Q and A What is College Hockey Profiles? College Hockey Profiles is a searchable database of every college and junior team in the United States and Canada. Search Engine permits you to sort teams by any criteria you choose – by geographic area, by league, by division, by SAT scores, by grade point averages etc. What does it cost? Purchase an annual license. Unlimited access for first 12 months is $75. After the first 12 months you can renew your license every year for $35. All prices are in USD. Why are the prices in USD? College Hockey Profiles is the intellectual property of High Performance Hockey. They are a US based company out of Southern California. What is to stop me from letting my friends use my username and password to access the tool? Your username and password is personal and confidential. The terms of the license prohibit you from letting others use the username and password assigned to you. In the final analysis it is matter of your personal integrity. What if I cannot find a team in the tool? We have done our very best to include every program we could find. The vast majority of the teams are in the database. However, the programs are constantly changing, so if you discover that a team is missing just click on the “Missing Team” link and give us the information. We make sure it gets included. How do you keep up on all the information? Like painting the “Golden Gate Bridge” you start at one end and by the time you are finished, it is time to start again. It is a never ending process. We are constantly reviewing and updating the database. Users help as well – see the Missing Link page. What if I want my money back? Our policy is simple. We stand behind what we sell. If you are not completely satisfied we will refund your money. Just complete the online Refund Questionnaire and your request is processed automatically. Do I have to purchase the College Hockey Guide? No. The web tool stands on its own. The College Hockey Guides are independently published and a valuable resource. We highly recommend that you have a copy of the most recent guide(s) as you use the web tool. College Hockey Profiles search results provide page references to programs that are found in the guide. How come many of the programs do not show a page reference to the College Hockey Guide? The College Hockey Guide provides information about the 140 or so NCAA programs but only has information on about 20 of the 340 ACHA programs. The vast majority of the college hockey programs are not covered in the published guide. None of the Canadian universities or colleges is found in the guide. So while the guide is an invaluable resource, it has its limitations. Do you provide any other services or products? • Game Day. Tool to ensure that a player and coach are always on the same page. The key to improvement is clear, concise communication between player and coach – meaningful feedback. At end of each game a player evaluates his/her performance which is then compared to the coaches' perspective. During the season, you create a 50 game snap shot, in real time, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of your play. This digitized portfolio can then be used as your digital resume as you tryout for next level of play. (Primary or target user group – elite players ages 15 to 21 -- midget AAA, Junior and College Players.) • College Hockey Profiles. These web tools and training help a team determine and track its Vision, Mission, Goals, and Critical Success Factors. Championship teams go through a conscious process to create realistic and measurable objectives and then empower team leaders with the tools to monitor these objectives with vengeance throughout the season.
